 Earthquake resistance There are countless records of Gerard roofs standing firm in violent earthquakes while neighbouring buildings have collapsed due to the heavyweight nature of their roofing materials.
Fire Resistant Has Class A fire rating. The roofing required must be extremely fire resistant to prevent hot embers form external fires spreading fire through the roof and lightweight yet strong and securely interlocked to prevent the roof collapsing as interior fires become established. Roofing materials manufactured by AHI Roofing are made from high quality primed and protected aluminium zinc coated steel. The fire resistance of the lightweight roof is further enhanced by the layer of natural stone chips bonded to the steel base.
 Lightweight advantages Gerard roofing sytems make up one of the lightest roofs available. Less weight on the roof means less stress on the structure.
